I hope everyone who reads this had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to enjoy it peacefully. I know getting around family and a lot of people can be stressful.

During my break I got to go to a therapy session which I haven’t done in a long time. I forgot how much it helped and how much I needed it.

Growing up I used to fight going to therapy not wanting to go and thinking I needed it. I am sure every young child does. As I got older I truly appreciated what it was doing for me. Being able to express my feelings and not holding them in. Also learning how to deal with it and ways to improve my compulsions.

Therapy is so important I feel, but if it is not done right it can hurt you in the long run. If you decide to go, you have to be all in. Open up on every level, don’t be afraid that you will be judged, and except that getting help is a natural and worthy thing.

How many people go to therapy and how often?
