My name is Ryan Glubo. This site is not only about growing up and living with OCD but the struggles and the rewards that come with this mental disease as well as Anxiety, ADHD, and Depression. How I have dealt with OCD as well as my experiences with different methods that have worked for me as well as some that have not worked, also some of my daily struggles that still continue. I want to share with the world information about OCD and let others know they are not alone. WE ARE A COMMUNITY.
By the time I was in 2nd grade I started to realize I had a mental illness known as OCD. As I grew older I realized I was different in the way I thought, and did certain things. I have been hospitalized, seen numerous doctors/ therapists, and been on countless different types of medications, but that didn’t stop me. I was a Nationally ranked tennis player who went on to play college tennis as well as graduate from Bloomsburg University. Luckily I have had a supportive cast in my life from my parents to my sister as well as my loving and supportive wife. Growing up I didn’t have the luxury of being able to connect with people who had OCD and thought I was alone, but as I grew older I realized I was not alone. Everyday can be a struggle from washing my hands, to setting my alarm, but with the support, I get through it and I hope after reading more you realize you are not alone either.
